This debut EP was recorded thanks to receiving 3 hours of studio time for winning WCS Portland Chapter Best Performance of 2012. It was recorded at Rex Audio in one track, one take format, and was self-mixed and produced. In 2013, I focused on my band, Commonly Courteous, who has now been played on 3 radio stations, released an EP and single, are planning there 2nd tour, and are currently working on a full-length album, all produced and mixed by me, (you should check us out: http://commonlycourteous.com)!! :) In addition, STAY TUNED for TWO SOLO EPs in 2014. One acoustic, one not. Your support means the world to me. Thanks you. Much love, j<>|-/::

Track Name: Untethered
(That’s when she said) she wants something just a little bit slower
To calm and ease her head
And as you start to feel as if you know her
You try your best not to forget

Take this tether from my soul
It don’t belong here anymore
You gone and done it to yourself
Whatever love thinks it’s got on us now
It’s been a long road, but I know we’ll work it out

When I cry, Ray you are my sunshine
So I try, yes, I try just for you
When I laugh, those clouds they seem to say goodbye
So I try, yes I try for you

But, take this tether from my soul
It don’t belong here anymore
You gone and done it to yourself
Whatever love thinks it’s got on us now
It’s been a long road, but I know we’ll work it out

Track Name: Meet Me
Here we go, doing this shit everyday
I know you know I got a lot to say
Get up, go to work 9 to 5
And we still feel like we ain’t livin life

I’m just like you, I want to sing and dance
And I can’t wait for my weekend plans
I keep hoping for a better life
Tell me, is this what it feels like?
Cause if this is what it feels like
Then, I’m happy to be living this life

These are merely words on a page, in a mind down the drain
World’s full of definitions, stop progress and transition
Nothing new to be discovered, nothing new to be written
Well, I’m getting a vision. Yeah, I’m breakin through tradition
Heard a lot of different things from a lot of different people
Bout how life’s too short yet they make it seem simple
And you gotta learn to float, but it’s always in a riddle
Why won’t you just meet me in the Middle.

Hard times, better rhymes, gotta die to live a life
I know I’ll try to find a reason and rhyme for my time
But hard times won’t defy me when I’m up against this wall
Cause I know a melody that makes me stronger when I fall
Hard times, they will not break me
Hard times, they will not change me
I will always try to meet you in the Middle

Come on, I need you to meet me
Won’t you meet me now?
Come on, I know I got it deep down in my soul
Come on, let’s turn it on like a run-on lyrical flow
Just learn to let it go
(Love all you know) and let the rest go

Track Name: Actress
Such beautiful actress, you want the world to see
All that sexiness, complicated by what you’re now willing to be
Whatever your reason, your time is drawing near my dear
Whatever this season, the truth is not something that you wanna hear

Beautiful woman, Beautiful girl
Beautiful woman I know you’ve been hoping
For someone who can understand you
But hear me when I say, it ain’t gonna be me
Who entertains you

Such a beautiful actress, yet I can see your style
I know why you’re at this, seductive, sultry, simulated, built-in, simple-dated style
Whatever the reason, the time is drawing near my dear
Whatever the season, the truth is not something that you wanna hear

Beautiful woman, Beautiful girl
Beautiful woman I know you’ve been hoping
For someone who can understand you
But hear me when I say, it ain’t gonna be me
Who entertains you

Such a beautiful, such, such a beautiful woman
Such a beautiful, such, such a beautiful girl

How come I see your likeness every other day
In a magazine, on TV, on the big screen above me
Why can’t I see you as the true you that you do
Believe me when I say that I can see right through you

Won’t tell me you’ll be just a little bit (real for me)
Tell me that you’re here cause you mean it and you feel me
So when you wake up in the morning without make-up
And you’re mourning life, don’t worry, I’ll be leavin’

Such a beautiful, such, such a beautiful woman
Such a beautiful, such, such a beautiful girl

Such a beautiful actress, yet I can see your style
I know why you’re at this, seductive, sultry, f**king style
Whatever the reason, the time is drawing near my dear
Whatever the season, the truth is not something you’re gonna wanna hear

Track Name: More Than Life (bonus track)
first take I ever done.
go on, ask me where it comes from
I say I don't know

go on, tell me what you think of the truth
'cause here i sit from my point of view
and it ain't right

we focus too much on ourselves these days
got addiction, but we can't even quell our fate
I got half a mind to say it's all been done
and I ain't even gonna try

a million miles a minute, only seconds to a definitive finish
and i'm stuck in the middle of it, trying to be more content
but baby don't you worry
there ain't nothing like you in my life

cause I look at you
you see me through
to the point where I believe that I can fly

it's like some times how you need to know
like some of when you just need to feel me
like something of the look you're giving me right now
i know you always believe in me

cause I look at you
and I see right through
so much more than my life.
